Resonant Selected as First TechArb VC Firm
Crain’s ran an article on Wednesday about the 12 startup companies that have been selected to participate in the TechArb, the University of Michigan’s business accelerator. The university signed a deal in late 2009 to lease 2,600 square feet of space on the fourth floor of McKinley Inc.’s McKinley Towne Centre on State Street in downtown Ann Arbor.

As a new TechArb resident and University of Michigan student, I am very pleased to see good press regarding our program. We have a wonderful group of excited entrepreneurs of many backgrounds to offer assistance to each other. Jason and Michael of Resonant Venture Partners have a role as the senior leadership among our group of entrepreneurs and I look forward to us all benefiting from our collaborative relationships and a generally supportive atmosphere.
We also just moved into the TechArb, and having a VC in the space is invaluable. Their knowledge of fundraising and business development is particularly beneficial in a space with as many different ideas and business models as the TechArb has.
