Ann Arbor, Michigan – EDF Ventures (“EDF”) is celebrating its third successful exit, in less than ten months, generated by the acquisition of a portfolio investment by a Fortune 500 Company. Arbor Networks, Inc. (“Arbor”) located in Ann Arbor, MI and Chelmsford, MA, signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Tektronix Communications (“Tektronix”), a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. The acquisition is an all‐cash deal and is expected to close in September. EDF typically does not disclose the terms of its acquisitions.

Founded by EDF long‐time friend Farnam Jahanian, and his colleague Rob Malan, Arbor established and grew its technical team in Ann Arbor, while locating its corporate headquarters in the greater Boston area. Mary Campbell, Managing Director and a Founder of EDF, noted that, “Under Farnam’s leadership, Arbor was able to take advantage of the richness of the software talent pool here in Ann Arbor while maintaining the flexibility to recruit senior management on the East Coast. While so‐called “split locations” at one time were anathema to venture investors, attracting the best and the brightest to build a well‐rounded company often defines that model as the superior alternative. We have seen it work extremely well.”
