Resonant Closes $1M Seed Round With Duo Security
We are thrilled to announce that Resonant has invested in a $1M seed round with Duo Security. This investment marks the first portfolio company of Resonant Fund I managed by Resonant Venture Partners. A joint ZLI/Resonant Venture Partners press release went out this morning on the PR Newswire.
Jason and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Dug Song and Jon Oberheide of Duo Security and are looking forward to watching these guys revolutionize the authentication world. Ann Arbor, Michigan based Duo Security has created a platform for strong authentication and fraud prevention leveraging consumer mobile devices. Duo’s strategy of augmenting widely distributed mobile devices with their authentication platform may fundamentally change the authentication and security landscape.
The round was led by Palo Alto based True Ventures and included two strategic angels with deep experience in the security and authentication sectors. We are looking forward to partnering with True on future investments and developing a long-term relationship that should prove to be a boon to regional entrepreneurship and the innovation economy.
